In A Minute by Baba Jeeves

As part of Grace's evening ritual, we let her pick a couple of books she'd like us to read before she goes to bed. In a Minute by Virginia Miller has been at the top of Grace's requests for six weeks running. It's a little mundane but to spice things up a bit, Rob will read the story using various accents. Last night he used an Indian accent and the night before he was British. He'll read it in Spanish or while lying upside down...and then it hit me. I married Dr. Seuss. It totally fits. Grace channels Thing 1 *&* 2 effortlessly on occasion. And one could say I run a zoo!

Here are a few of the books Grace asks us to read before she goes to bed every night. It's my goal to get new reading material this week at our library. We've been on these books for close to a month now. She has most of these books memorized and her sentences are now peppered with the titles. For example, if you ask her where her Daddy goes during the weekday, she'll say "work" and when asked what he does at work, her reply is "knock down buildings." I guess he is a machine at work: writing papers, refereeing publications, and attending the weekly brown-bag seminar. I don't know what Rob is going to tell Grace when he brings her to Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work at CMU.
