Grace's New Home

Grace will be moving into her new home at the end of April . She's looking forward to having a level backyard and being within stroller-ing distance of a swim club. For those of you who like architecture, the home has a Mansard roof or as Rob recently described it to a graduate student, it looks like Dumb Donald from the Fat Albert gang.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Baby

When Grace is busy doing something and wants to be left alone, she assumes the following position. Her bottom hovers exactly one inch above the ground. It's her stealth mode -- I actually believe she thinks this position makes her invisible. At the very least, it means she completely ignores anyone trying to get her attention.

Amazing Grace

Grace amazed me with her dexterity and hand-eye coordination when she lifted a ball and placed it on a track above her head. She'd seen other kids do this but then she decided to try it and got it right on her first attempt. That's our girl!

The Children's Museum

Grace took her Nana and Popsicle to one of her favorite hangouts, The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, this weekend. As always, she had a wonderful time and tired out everyone that accompanied her. She loves everything about the place -- the piano, the light display, and especially the taste of the wooden bench out front. Yummmmm!

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day

We hope everyone enjoyed a day full of pampering from their valentine. Grace and her friends at The Children's Center of Pittsburgh (TCCP) finger painted boxes and then held a Valentine's day card exchange. The yummiest valentine was from Brady who gave everyone a mango dessert in a box decorated with heart stickers. I'm all for starting them early especially when there's chocolate involved.

Green Eggs and Hat

A snow day served as the perfect opportunity to read Dr. Seuss and try on some new hats. Well, *a* hat. Grace is usually very particular about what goes on her head, but surprisingly seemed to enjoy donning this particulary green beauty. I have to say, it suits her.

Grace + Fork = Less Work for Mom and Dad

Grace is becoming increasingly camera aware. She'll do something we think is video-worthy often but capturing it can be tricky. Rob was able to get the following footage of Grace feeding herself this morning. How soon do they learn to wash dishes?
