China

Rob recently took a business trip to Beijing and Xiamen, China. Here are several photos of the  sightseeing he was able to squeeze in between conferences. He got to see two of the more important sights in Beijing (the Summer Palace and the Forbidden City), along with a lot of traffic on the highways.  We are traveling to China next year for a couple of weeks, and think it will be a very interesting experience for the girls.

I think this weekend's flight from Germany to Seattle will be a good test for what we can expect when we fly to China. The flight time is the same (11 hours) but the time difference is a little bigger heading west, by 2 hours. We will be 9 hours behind in Seattle and 7 hours ahead in Beijing. And probably too tired on both trips to care.

I am signing off until after the new year. I need to get my fill of America and there's a burger with my name on it somewhere in Seattle.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
